For these limited edition packagings, Light&Free reach out for 4 French artists and asked us to illustrate what could represent the word " freedom " for us.
I went for summery 90s patterns inspired by these badass Californian girls taking over skateparks and rolling their way to the top. When I started longboarding, and later roller skating, I felt incredibly free. Of course physical freedom as the sensations are amazing, but also mental freedom as it helped me change the way I apprehend public space as well as my own body. It is an empowering story of reappropriation and freedom, and I think it suits Light & Free’s spirit of " living your life fully and doing you ".
